This is Danielle Yu Jie. Her Chinese name is Xin Yu Jie. She is 4 and 1/2 years old.
Danielle entered the Urumqi orphanage at age 15 mos. and needed heart surgery to correct a defect in a ventrical in her heart. She recovered quickly and was placed with a wonderful and loving foster family in Urumqi. She has lived with the foster family ever since and attends the orphanage for day care and preschool.
Through a wonderful organization called "Lady Bugs N Love" we have been able to receive updated information about Danielle Yu Jie - this is our last update....
"Xin Yu Jie is in foster care, she is doing very well now. she is attending preschool. She gets along well with other children. She likes her school. She thinks that is a very happy thing to go to preschool.
Her health condition and resistibility is good. She seldom gets sick. she runs and jumps around. She has lots of energy. Her heart is doing good, no discomfort symptom.
There is a big brother in her foster home. He is their biological son. His name is -----------, he is 23 years old. He is going to graduate from college.
Her foster mom’s name ----------- she is 43 years old. Her foster dad is ---------, he is 48 years old. Her foster family loves Xin Yu Jie very much. During the Chinese New Year of 2010, they took her to Hai Nan for vacation. Yu Jie love’s to take airplane. She didn’t feel any uncomfortable. She has learned the basic knowledge of riding on airplane. She loves beach and swimming.
She loves skiing. Yes, it is ski on snow. Because there are a lot of snow in Xin Jiang during the winter time, it feels really great to ski on snow!
She likes to watch many cartoons. Nothing specail. She loves to watch kids channel. She likes music and sing songs.
She likes dolls. She also likes the stuffed kitty very much that is from her family.
She sometimes sleeps alone in her room, sometimes sleeps with her foster mom.
Yu Jie’s current measurements are:
Height: 97cm (38 inches) ; Weight: 13.5kg (29 lbs.) ; Head: 48cm ; Chest: 50cm ;
Sitting height: 56cm ; foot; 15cm."
These measurements are almost identical to Avery's measurements at age 4!
